Contracts Manager - FULL TIME

NERC UK LTD have been trading since 2009 and in our continuing development and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager.

Flat Roofing
Pitched Roofing
Roofline & maintenance
Lead sheet
Conservation & Listed Buildings
Consultancy
Principal Design

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who possesses the initiative and willingness to work within a growing company. Roofing industry experience is essential for this role.

The role will include, but is not limited to: -
· Contract negotiations
· Taking off and quantifying drawings
· Scheduling materials
· Material Procurement
· Cost Control
· Labour Payment Control
· Interim and Final Accounts
Previous experience working in similar environment an advantage but is not essential.

Experience:
* contract management: 3 years (Preferred)
Proficiency in computer software applications (MS Office, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work under pressure generated by short deadlines and flexibility in hours to meet deadlines.
Possess the skills required to digitise and analysis roofing plans
Be experienced within the tendering process
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships using diplomacy and tact with Owners/Clients, Consultants
Wealth of knowledge and personal contacts within the roofing industry
Health & Safety Knowledge
Driving Licence
Enhanced DBS (to be obtained by the Company)
Ability to work at heights

The correct candidate will be:

A confident and diligent person who is self-motivated, will have proven ability with scheduling and planning.

You will processes a strong attention to detail and have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with Clients and Consultants.
You will be a team player who is happy to work in conjunction with others but also be able to work alone effectively and efficiently.
You will live an easy commute to our Gateshead offices, but be prepared to travel nationally.

This role could also potentially include:
Attending site for surveys

Obtaining material costs

Performing drawing take offs

Analysing plans

Prioritising tenders

Review material and labour requirements

Provide accurate estimates of costs utilising the Excel based package

Project cost monitoring

Submitting quotations

Valuations

Final accounts

Retention claims

Ordering materials

Working in conjunction with the Managers to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
